This study focuses on the priorities and demands of cities and regions for international information exchange linked to emergency governance. This was possible thanks to the surveys that the EGI team conducted on city and regional governments, complemented with analysis of online resources.

‘The COVID-19 response: governance challenges and innovations by cities and regions’ works with a sample that cuts across 57 territories from a total of 35 countries on all continents. The survey findings were complemented by analysis of 20 online monitors of the pandemic identified as relevant to subnational governance. These resources were systematically reviewed from the first to the most recent publication.
