Mexico City invites to seminar on public policies to tackle childhood obesity and overweight
The School of Public Administration of Mexico City (EAPDF), Regional Center for the Americas of the METROPOLIS International Training Institute (MITI), invites METROPOLIS members to join its next seminar, which takes place between November 26 and 28 and will be focused on public policies to tackle childhood obesity and overweight.
The “International Seminar of Public Policies against Childhood Obesity and Overweight” will offer master conferences, workshop sessions and technical visits. Please click here to check the detailed program of the seminar.
The results of the discussions will be gathered in a publication with the Memoires of the Seminar, following the model of the first MITI seminar held by EAPDF last year, about disaster risk management.
The seminar is open to public servants at directive positions as responsible of the design and implementation of public policies in childhood obesity and overweight from METROPOLIS member cities, as well as from UCLG and the Mexico City government. EAPDF also welcomes the participation of experts from international organizations, recognized academics and representatives from civil society organizations with knowledge and experiences to share about the subject. The organization of the seminar will be providing accommodation and meals support to representatives from METROPOLIS and UCLG.
