Brussels welcomes second "No Regrets" dialogue launched by Metropolis Initiative. Sign up now!
The Metropolis Initiative ‘Integrated Urban Governance – Successful Policy Transfer’, which is led by the city of Berlin, started a dialogue to exchange different perspectives and interests in finding ways for cities to adapt to climate change. Named "No Regrets – Pre-Acting and Adapting to Climate Change in Cities", the first event took place in October in Berlin.
The second dialogue will take place on February 9th and 10th 2014 in Brussels. The overall objective of the events is to formulate recommendations of actions in the form of a charter.
The dialogues will bring together high rank representatives from local administrations, political entities, private enterprises and civil society organizations, as well as from the scientific community and media. The central goal of the first meeting is to assess and discuss in which ways metropolises are putting forward stronger impulses for a new acceleration of climate protection activities in four main fields: flood protection & management, water supply & disposal, spatial planning/green areas, and buildings/energetic rehabilitation.
