Sharing practices of gender mainstreaming methods in subnational and local policies

Organised by the Brussels-Capital Region and Metropolis Women, "Sharing practices of gender mainstreaming methods in subnational and local policies" is an event which will envolve technical staff working on gender mainstreaming in local and subnational governments

The programme includes:

  • Reflection on how to mainstream gender into all areas and policy fields in our metropolises, via transversal topics such as gender budgeting, gender-responsive public procurement, etc.;
  • Plenary discussion with a gender expert panel on difficulties and possible solutions arising from the application of the transversal policy areas;
  • Application of the transversal areas in various policy fields (mobility, urban development, …)

The event will have translation between the three official languages of Metropolis (English, French and Spanish)
