The Secretariat of Guangzhou International Award for Urban Innovation would like to cordially invite you to attend the WUF10's side event themed “Innovation and Culture in Bridging Social, Economic and Spatial Divides”. The side event is scheduled at 9:00-10:00 on February 10, 2020.

The interactive side event will invite representatives of cities that participated in the Guangzhou Award to present how a culture of innovation can help local governments and their partners to bridge social, economic and spatial divides. Each panelist will present for around 8 minutes and enough time will be devoted to interactive Q&A and comments from the floor.
 
The side event will also see the announcement of the “Global Mayors Forum 2020, XIII METROPOLIS World Congress 2020, UCLG World Council Meetings 2020 & the Fifth Guangzhou Award” (hereinafter “4 in 1 Event”) and the release of the peer-reviewed report collection of the 2018 Guangzhou Award’s shortlisted cities.

The Guangzhou International Award for Urban Innovation has, over the past 8 years, peer-reviewed hundreds of initiatives in urban innovation. Since 2018 the Award has been aligned with the SDGs and the NUA, providing a unique knowledge base of how local governments, at all levels, of all sizes and in all regions are effectively addressing critical social, economic, environmental and governance challenges.
