XII World Congress: Cities proclaim the Montréal Declaration | DAY 4
After four days of enriching discussions and exciting conferences and activities, the XII World Metropolis Congress has officially ended. The closing ceremony provided the chief delegates with the opportunity to join the voice of member cities of the AIMF to proclaim the Montréal Declaration, which sets out the commitment of cities to come together in taking on local and global challenges, particularly in implementing the Paris Climate Agreement.
This morning’s Metropolis General Assembly saw the re-election of Denis Coderre as president and Laura Pérez Castaño as president of Metropolis Women for a new term as well as the election of the Board of Directors members for 2017-2020. The General Assembly was presented with the 2018-2020 action plan and approved the final version of the Montréal Declaration.
