The e-Platform for Centralised Benefits Claims Processing centralises information on socially vulnerable households in a single register of beneficiaries and in an electronic benefits processor.
The e-Platform emerged from the need to modernise the records of benefits recipients, thereby advancing towards the creation of a single register that covers all the benefits and grants awarded by the different departments of the Buenos Aires City Government, and the establishment of a system for applying for, processing and paying the various benefits. This project seeks to facilitate access to benefits, to clearly and concisely outline the necessary information and procedures to be undertaken to obtain benefits and to optimise payment times by means of e-payment to centralise the information.
The platform acts as a system of social information, essential for the constitution of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires’ Network of Integrated Social Protection. The network seeks to care for, in a centralised manner, families and individuals in situations of vulnerability and exclusion. This approach not only targets the beneficiary but also the group with whom they live and their family ties with other beneficiaries.
The aim is to achieve full coverage of vulnerable homes working in an integrated manner, i.e. covering the different facets presented by the vulnerable situation: health, education, social, cultural, economic development, etc. The result is the single register of beneficiaries, which exceeds half a million Buenos Aires residents, belonging to more than 150,000 households that receive aid.
