Global Studio is a partnership and research based programme where academics, professionals and international students work together with academic institutes, governments and non-government organisations to develop urban solutions for primarily disadvantaged urban communities. The Global Studio 2012 will take place in Bhopal, India from 7^th January onwards. Metropolis is an institutional supporter of this event which is part of its strategy to engage with “Urban India“.

The fourth awards ceremony for the Metropolis Awards was held on 25 November last at the gala dinner hosted by the President of Metropolis, Jean-Paul Huchon, within the framework of the 10^th Metropolis World Congress in Porto Alegre. The event, attended by more than 200 representatives from all over the world, was hosted by Tulio Milman, a renowned journalist in Brazil, and Hilmar Von Lojewski, representing the city of Berlin, first prize-winner in the previous edition of the awards.
