The next Commission 4 “Megacities” meeting will take place in Mexico City on the 17th and 18th of November 2010. The meeting will be hosted by the Government of the Federal District through the Secretariat for Housing and Urban Development which currently holds the presidency of the aforementioned commission.

During this event, we will have the opportunity to discuss important topics such as: Risk Reduction, Energy Saving, Equity, Social Diversity and Public Space; such topics will help us plan a better future for metropolises. At the same time we hope to offer solutions to address concerns, proposals and contents of each participant city. The final goal will be to elaborate the Commission 4 Declaration for the General Assembly of Metropolis that will take place in Cairo in April 2011.

This meeting will run parallel to the 3rd United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) World Congress and will allow those attending the opportunity to take part in the opening ceremony.
